The International Programs Office and the International Club hosted the Potluck Picnic in the spring quarter! The weather was beautiful for a picnic. In this blog, you will see many students enjoying food, games, and conversations together.
We had over 20 attendees, and everyone brought a variety of cultural foods, including Mexican, Japanese, Romanian, German, and Brazilian dishes. It was exciting to try dishes from many different countries and learn more about each other’s cultures through food.
While enjoying food, many students enjoyed playing some outdoor games. We played giant Jenga, Ladder Toss, and Cornhole. These games helped students build friendships or connect more strongly. We could also see that some students tried Ladder toss many times to throw bolas (two golf balls connected by a string) at the ladders to get higher points than others.
This picnic was a good opportunity for international students and local students to get to know each other and build friendships. Many students spent time talking and enjoying the sunny weather together.
The Spring Potluck Picnic was a fun and memorable event overall. Delicious food, outdoor games, conversation, and the sunny weather made everyone’s day special. We hope to continue creating opportunities like this for international students and local students to connect and celebrate different cultures together. Thank you for reading to the end!
