How did students spend the spring break?

How did international students spend their spring break? LCC students had a spring break for two weeks between the Winter and Spring quarters. Students spent their time relaxing or adventuring. So in this blog, I want to show how international students spend their spring break.

I went to Disneyland in California for two days. It was my dream to visit the Disney resort in the U.S., so I was very excited. The Star Wars area was so powerful, and I felt that I had entered the world of the movie. The atmosphere was different from that of Disneyland in Japan, but I had a lot of fun during the two days and was very satisfied with my trip.

I kicked things off in Atlanta, Georgia. Translation: I slept, ate good food, went to a concert, and pretended I wasn’t still recovering from finals. I also met people from my home country, which was so nice. There’s something comforting about hearing familiar accents when you're thousands of miles from home. Later on, I traveled to Virginia to compete in the Phi Rho Pi National Speech and Debate Tournament with other LCC students. It was intense, exciting, and nothing like a vacation—but totally worth it. And I went to the zoo for the first time ever. Overall, spring break turned out way more memorable than I expected—in a good way.

I visited Florida for spring break. I went to Universal Studios and enjoyed various attractions. Hagrid's roller coaster in the Harry Potter area was the fastest I have ever experienced. Unlike Washington State, Florida was very warm, and the weather was beautiful, so I stayed until just before the end of spring break and came back reluctantly.

I introduced three students’ spring break. When I asked other students, they all had a wonderful spring break, whether it was watching movies with friends at home, driving to visit small towns, or going to Seattle for fun. I would be happy if you could use this as a vacation idea for future LCC students, and for those who do not, as a reference when you come to visit us in the U.S. Thank you for reading to the end!
