Lower Columbia College collaborates with universities and organizations from around the world to offer cross-cultural education opportunities and initiatives for our students, staff, and faculty. We welcome new global partnerships. Common partnerships and collaborations include but are not limited to:
- Articulation Agreements: LCC students are interested in a smooth transfer process after completing their LCC degree. The majority of our students are completing their Associate Degree, and are open to 2+1 and 2+2 pathways for Bachelor Programs. Some of our Bachelor Degree students are interested in 4+1 or accelerated graduate studies.
- English Language Programs: LCC’s expansive Intensive English Language (IESL) program can be customized for academic, vocational, workplace readiness. Curriculum can be delivered in-person on the LCC campus or virtually.
- Long-Term Exchange (inbound & outbound): Students enroll for one quarter or one year for a long-term study at LCC or at your institution.
- Inbound – LCC welcomes exchange students for one academic year. Exchange students are supported with all the same resources as our degree-seeking international students.
- Outbound – LCC promotes your exchange programs for LCC students to spend one term or one academic year at your institution. We share your promotional materials, and support students' preparation for the time abroad.
- Short-Term Programs (inbound & outbound): Students appreciate short-term programs focused on cultural exchange, customized instruction and training, and local excursions. Programs are approximately less than four-weeks.
- Inbound – LCC offers customizable short-term programs to welcome a cohort from your organization to Longview, Washington. Our popular short-term programs include a combination of English language instruction, United States cultural workshops, community activities and excursions.
- Outbound – LCC promotes your short-term program to our students interested in studying abroad outside the United States. We share your promotional materials, and support students' preparation for the time abroad.
- Recruiting Agencies: LCC collaborates with personnel (agents) located around the world to help identify prospective students and support their recruitment to LCC programs. We will provide promotional material and training for supporting their interest in LCC.
- Virtual Exchange: Your faculty and LCC faculty co-develop a project for students to collaboratively complete online (with shared synchronous and asynchronous activities) using a variety of digital communication and collaboration tools. Virtual exchanges can range from six-ten weeks, and be interdisciplinary. LCC has several faculty trained and experienced with Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL).
