In May 2015 members of LCC's Concert Choir performed at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. The trip was a dream come true for everyone involved!

The choir's performance included Vivaldi's Gloria, a setting of the traditional Latin Mass written around 1715, along with parts of Requiem Masses by Mozart and Faure. The choir also sang a section from Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem in memory of the late LCC instructor Richard Kelley.

In addition to the performance, the group toured highlights of New York City, including Times Square and the Statue of Liberty! Many had never been to the Big Apple before, and this was their chance to experience the world.

All participants received a certificate and a framed copy of the advertising poster. Gina Challed reports that LCC's Concert Choir has been invited to return in 2017!
