LCC Foundation Scholarships Open October 1!

Get ready to apply for scholarships to help pay for your education at Lower Columbia College. More than $375,000 in scholarship opportunities will be available through our fall application cycle.

The application opens October 1 and closes October 31, 2026. Scholarship awarding begins in December.

How to Apply Starting October 1

  1. Visit the LCC Foundation scholarship application system and log in using your LCC student credentials.

  2. Complete the General Application, including all required questions.

  3. Review any additional scholarship opportunities and complete any supplemental questions.

  4. Submit your application by October 31, 2026. Be sure your application is submitted, not saved as a draft.

  5. Check your LCC student email regularly for scholarship updates and next steps.

Complete your 2026–27 FAFSA or WASFA by October 31 to be considered for scholarships that require financial need.

Scholarship Cycle Dates and Deadlines 

 Here are the scholarship timelines for your reference for the 2026-27 academic year:

Cycle One:

  • Applications Open: March 1, 2026
  • Applications Close: April 30, 2026
  • Application Reviews: May
  • Awarding: June-August

Cycle Two:

  • Applications Open: October 1, 2026
  • Applications Close: October 31, 2026
  • Application Reviews: November
  • Awarding: All of December

If you missed out on Cycle One scholarships, Cycle Two scholarships can help cover Winter and Spring tuition for the 2026-27 academic year.

About Foundation Scholarships

Scholarship applications open in the spring for Cycle One and again in the fall for Cycle Two. Cycle One awards funding for the upcoming academic year, covering fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. If you miss Cycle One, you can apply for Cycle Two, which provides funding for the winter, spring, and summer quarters of that same year. One general application uses applicant responses to match to criteria of each scholarship opportunity.

 

Available scholarships are based on:

  • Program of study – Business, Music, Nursing, STEM, Vocational and many others
  • Merit - GPA
  • Need – based on Estimated Family Contribution as determined by FAFSA or WASFA
  • Community Service and or Leadership
  • Enrollment – Part-time and full time

Every year scholarship recipients are honored for their accomplishments and have the opportunity to meet and thank their sponsors at an Annual Scholarship Social. Since the pandemic began in 2020, the Scholarship Social has not been held. However, we have continued the tradition of publishing the Scholarship Social booklet.

Giving the Gift of Education

Scholarships may be named in honor or memory of an individual or family member. Scholarships may also be established in the name of a business or organization to foster a spirit of corporate citizenship and community support.
