Institutional Accreditation
Accreditation is a validation process in which colleges, universities, and other institutions
of higher learning are evaluated against a set of pre-defined standards.
LCC is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU),
one of the institutional accrediting bodies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Institutional accreditation requires assessment of student learning outcomes, including
"global" skills. Faculty play a crucial role in accreditation.
