Steps to Apply for the Running Start program

Submit an LCC Admissions application online or in person (This step must be completed before continuing to step 2)

  • Quarter you plan to start: Fall, Winter, or Spring
  • Year you plan to start: Select the upcoming school year
  • Intended Major area of study: Running Start
  • Washington Residency: Yes
  • Years Attended: Year you plan on graduating in the "To Year" box
  • Graduated: No
  • Select College: Lower Columbia College

Submit your Running Start Application with a copy of your high school transcripts

  • Your LCC Student ID # will be filled in by a Running Start staff member

Did you receive an email from Lupe regarding your application?

  • If YES, continue to step 4
  • If NO, please contact the Running Start office at (360) 442-2442

Contact your high school to complete your Enrollment Verification Form (EVF)

Call the Running Start office to set up a registration appointment

Attend a MANDATORY Running Start New Student Orientation for students and parents

  • An email will be sent by the end of June regarding orientation dates

Pay your fees by the due date, get your student ID card, parking permit, and books

Attend your classes, and check your LCC email, Running Start social media and REMIND text messages frequently for Running Start notifications and updates
