LCC is operating - we're just doing things differently.

LCC will continue to operate remotely until further notice (a list of face-to-face and hybrid classes for fall is now available). Medical Assisting, Nursing, Machining and Welding resumed limited lab activity on May 5. Applications for emergency funding assistance are still being accepted. - Learn More.

Steps to Apply for the Running Start program

Submit an LCC Admissions Application online.

Make sure to select "Running Start" for admit type.

Complete and submit the Running Start Application.

Turn in a copy of your high school transcripts to the Running Start.

While high schools are closed, we are asking you to please email your high school counselor or high school registrar, and ask if they are willing to email an unofficial copy of your transcript to the Running Start office at

If you are having difficulties obtaining your high school transcripts during the closure, please contact the Running Start office for further assistance.

*At this time we can not accept Skyward print outs or report cards

You will receive an email from the Running Start Manager regarding acceptance into the program.

If you do not receive an email within a week, please contact After acceptance in to the program, you will then continue with the steps below.

Contact your high school* to complete your Enrollment Verification Form (EVF).

*While high schools are closed, obtaining your high school counselor signature is currently not required, however you will want to make sure you have your parent signature at the bottom of the EVF prior to registration. More details will be provided in your acceptance email from the Running Start Manager.

Running Start will contact you to set up a Zoom* appointment for registration and mandatory orientation.

*Zoom is a web-based video conferencing tool. Zoom offers quality video, audio and wireless screen-sharing performances across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, and Zoom Rooms, among other operating systems.

Fees vary by student, depending on number of credits and course disciplines.

Students who qualify for free and/or reduced lunches do not pay class fees/tuition. Pay your fees by the due date and get your required books and supplies. View the Academic Calendar for tuition and other academic deadlines on the LCC website.

Attend your classes, and check your LCC email, RS Canvas group, RS social media and REMIND text messages frequently for notifications and updates.

We look forward to having you in the Running Start program!
