Summer Running Start

Earn college credits when you take LCC classes this summer. Current and new Running Start students are welcome to join!

 

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Please check in with the Running Start office for specific details regarding Summer registration, paperwork and deadline, as funding is not gauranteed for students who do not register by June 14, 2024

Currently enrolled juniors (rising seniors):

If you are a current Running Start students for the 2023-2024 academic year and have not used their full 1.40 FTE allotment you may be eligible to have tuition funded for up to a maximum of 10 credits this Summer.

Exiting Seniors:

If you are a currently enrolled senior for the 2023-2024 academic year and are receiving your high school diploma from your high school in June 2024 and are are within 15 credits or less of earning an associates degree you may participate in summer Running Start solely to complete their degree.

Rising juniors:

New Running Start students (current 2023-2024 high school sophomores) who will be joining Running Start Fall 2024 up to a maximum of 10 credits tuition funded.

Summer Quarter Dates:

  • First day of classes: July 1
  • Campus Closed: Fourth of July holiday: July 4
  • Last day of classes: August 22
  • Final exams: Last day of class
  • Quarter break: August 23-September 20
