Safety precautions to protect students, employees and visitors

Higher education is considered an essential service under Governor Inslee's 'Stay at Home' order. Limited instructional activity in lab settings is permitted under the order, as long as safety protocols are followed. Protocols must include: hygiene; social distancing; and cleaning and sanitization.

  • All instruction fully online for first two weeks of the quarter and most instruction fully online all quarter
  • Social distancing and safety protocols strictly monitored in all face-to-face labs
  • Custodial crews continually cleaning frequently touched surfaces with disinfectants specifically approved by the EPA for use with COVID-19
  • LCC working closely with county officials to identify cases of COVID-19 that may be connected to our campus (see below)

Access to Facilities

In order to allow students to enter for limited lab activities, we have to unlock some of our buildings.

Furniture has been removed from many areas of campus to promote social distancing.

Signage is prominently displayed to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols.

If someone at LCC is confirmed to have COVID-19

  • Employees and students will be notified by email of any confirmed cases
  • Potentially exposed individuals will be contacted directly by county health department
  • Areas of campus visited by infected individuals will be closed temporarily for extensive cleaning
