An official transcript is the college or university's certified statement of your academic record. The official paper transcript is printed on security sensitive paper and contains the official seal and signature of the college or university's registrar. Official transcripts (on paper) are always sealed and unopened.
Only you may request the release of your official transcripts. Transcripts will not be released to another party or institution without your prior written consent.
Yes, LCC can now send official transcripts electronically! When ordering your transcript you will select whether you want it delivered directly to a school electronically (no email address required), or to a specific recipient email address, or via mail. We strongly recommend the electronic delivery option – your transcript can’t get lost in the mail, you can track the order at every step, and many recipient schools process incoming electronic transcripts more quickly than paper ones.
To download or print a copy of your unofficial transcript, log into ctcLink, select Academics from the left sidebar or the dropdown menu in the upper left, and select View Unofficial Transcript. Click here for detailed instructions and screenshots.
