Parking Lot Construction Closure Notice
January 22, 2026 closure update:
Parking Lot E, located between RCA and the Student Center (STC), will be closed due to lack of street access, through February 13. The contractor is currently working to connect the water line between 15th Avenue and Washington Way.
We will provide additional updates as the project progresses.
Starting October 13, 2025, two LCC parking lots along 15th Avenue will be closed for construction.
- Student Center Lot (Lot C on the campus map)
-
Vocational Lot (Lot B on the campus map).
This is a long-term closure to accommodate the construction of LCC's new Center for Vocational and Transitional Studies. Parking will be limited during the closure. Here are some tips to help:
- Review the campus map to find alternative parking options.
- Plan to arrive on campus a little earlier to allow extra time to park.
- Ride the bus for free with your student ID–see our bus and transit information webpage for details.
- Carpool with friends or classmates.
- Watch for traffic disruptions on 15th Avenue starting later in October when the City begins relocating the water main.
- Use available street parking in nearby neighborhoods (be sure to avoid parking in the Longview Public Library lot).
- The City of Longview approved a project to add more diagonal parking spaces on Maple at their October 9, 2025, meeting. Note: a small section of Maple will be converted to one-way traffic: see the new configuration.
- Father's House (across 15th Avenue from the C lot) has agreed to let us use their parking lot from 7:00-11:00 am, M-F. Please be respectful of their time frame if you use their lot!
- Faculty and staff with reserved parking permits in Lot B (Vocational) will be relocated to Parking Lot A (Don Talley) starting October 13.
- Beginning Monday, October 20, Lot A will serve as a mixed-use parking area.
- The three sections on the west side will be reserved for faculty and staff with designated parking permits and will be clearly marked.
- The five sections on the east side, excluding the spaces reserved for Automotive program customers, will be available for general permitted use.
