John and Cathy Natt Donate $1 Million to Lower Columbia College
Lower Columbia College (LCC) and the Lower Columbia College Foundation (LCCF) are pleased to announce receipt of a million-dollar gift from John and Cathy Natt. The gift, given in honor of Longview’s centennial and the LCCF’s “Opportunity Can’t Wait” capital campaign, will go toward the John and Cathy Natt Endowment and unrestricted funds.

LCC Speech & Debate Opens Conference Season with Strong Showing
The Lower Columbia College Fighting Smelt Speech & Debate Team finished 4th place in 2-year college sweepstakes at the Steve Hunt Classic tournament hosted by Lewis & Clark College. This was the second tournament of the year for the Fighting Smelt, and it also kicked off the Northwest Forensics Conference (NFC) season.

Upgrades to Heerensperger Field at Tam O’Shanter Park
A collaboration between Lower Columbia College (LCC), the LCC Foundation, Kelso Recreation Council, Rose Foundation, Cowlitz County, City of Kelso, Kelso Girls Softball Association, Cheney Foundation, Rotary Club of Kelso, and Kelso High School resulting in substantial upgrades to the softball field at Tam O’Shanter Park is a home run for female youth, high school and college athletes.
