8-credit Nursing Assistant Certificate of Completion

This certificate provides the content and experiences for students to achieve mastery of the state-defined competencies required to assist in giving basic nursing care to residents/clients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Registered Nurse Program

If you are new to college or need advising:

If you have not previously taken college courses, contact the Entry Center

Schedule an advising appointment with a Health Care Specialist/Education Planner through the Entry Center to develop your individualized education plan.

When you have completed (or are enrolled in) the required support courses with a minimum grade of C in each course and have a cumulative grade point of 2.8 or higher in the required courses, you may apply for admission to the Nursing Program within the dates posted on the application. Once your application is processed you will be contacted to schedule the admission exams.

To be considered for admission to the Nursing Program, applicants must meet the minimum required score on the admission tests. Qualifying students will be ranked based on total admission points (Course Completion Points + TEAS score + Critical Thinking score). Students will be selected based on this ranking, with LCC students served first (15 credits or more completed at LCC). Applicants will be notified by mail of their admission status. Final admission is pending transcript evaluation.

Reigstered Nurse LPN2RN and Campus-Based Option

If you need advising:

Schedule an advising appointment with a Health Care Specialist/Education Planner through the Entry Center to develop your individualized education plan.

When you have completed the required non-nursing courses with a minimum grade of C in each course, you may apply for admission to the Nursing Program within the dates posted on the application. See LPN2RN or Campus-Based Application Form. Once your application is processed you will be contacted to schedule the admission exams.

To be considered for admission to the LPN2RN options of the Nursing Program, applicants must meet the minimum required scores on the admission exams. Qualifying students will be ranked based on total admission points (TEAS score + LPN Transitions score). Students will be selected based on this ranking, based on space available. Applicants will be notified by mail of their admission status. Final admission is pending official transcript evaluation.

Note: Due to program changes we will not be admitting LPNs to the Campus Option until Fall 2017. The next admission cycle will be April 15, 2017 through June 30, 2017
