Local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Options:

  • Watershed Garden Works - a retail and wholesale nursery specializing in Pacific Northwest native plants. We also offer custom seed collection, revegetation services, and consultation on Northwest plantings. In addition to natives, we carry a wide variety of ornamentals and edibles, and operate an organic farm.
  • Bountiful Baskets - Get involved! The friendships and fun will keep you coming back and eating healthy. Having a social aspect to your changes will really help them stick! It’s nice to be part of a group is passionate about produce and can suggest recipes and fun ways to eat the variety you get!

Spring Quarter - Wednesdays from 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the Richard Kelley Learning & Healing Garden

Join Louis LaPierre and Amber Lemiere in the Richard Kelley Learning & Healing Garden for a weekly garden party!

Help prepare the garden for planting, start planting, hardscaping, and educating yourself on gardening.

Monday April 16, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the Health & Science Building, room 106

  • What to grow, how to grow them, and what to cook with Lynell Amundson! 

Mushrooms & Health

Tuesday April 17, 1:00 - 2:00 pm in the Health & Science Building, room 222A

  • Mushrooms are the “fruit” of a fungus, and are just a small portion of the fungal organism. Fungi can provide useful medicines, tasty foods, restore damaged ecosystems, break down toxic pollutants, and provide hours of outdoor fun with Kyle Hammon!

Build Your Own Worm Compost

Wednesday April 18, 10:00 - 11:00 am in the Health & Science Building, room 135

  • Build you own worm compost that can be used to grow plants with Louis LaPierre! $10 per person, must be registered by 5 pm on April 16.

Chickens 101

Wednesday April 18, 2:00 - 3:00 pm in the Health & Science Building, room 105

  • The basics of raising chickens including how to feed and care for them (from chick to chicken), coop ideas, and what to expect for egg production with Elena Ross!

Indoor Plants

Thursday April 19, 3:30 - 4:30 pm in the Health & Science Building, room 135 - Environment & Science Lab, Student Center Outdoor Pavilion

  • The benefits of indoor plants and what types of plants to grow with Louis LaPierre and Amber Lemiere. Participants will take home a variegated English ivy cutting.

National Pretzel Day! 

Thursday April 26, 9:00 am – 12:00 am in the Student Center

To celebrate National Pretzel Day, a very important holiday, ASLCC will be handing out soft pretzels while supplies last.

Stop by and say hello to your Student Government and grab a pretzel!

Cuatro de Mayo Celebration!

Friday May 4, 1:00 - 2:30 pm in the Outdoor Pavilion (depending on weather), or in the Student Center, Conference Room 120AB

Join Red Devil Wellness and LCC Foundation in celebrating Cinco de Mayo through our Cuatro de Mayo celebration! This event will present the Spring Quarter Cookoff and Employee Giving Program!

Come join in taste testing a savory variety of guacamole, salsa and other recipes entered in the contest by LCC Faculty & Staff. The winners will get a prize!

The Foundation will also be hosting a welcome table, offering ice cream, and will raffle one LCC Gym membership and one LCC parking spot. All employees participating in the employee giving campaign will be entered into the drawing!
