About the program:
- The RN to BSN program is a post-licensure pathway designed for students who have obtained a Washington RN license by the time their classes start.
- The RN to BSN program is a selective admission program. Selective admission criteria are used when there are more applicants to the program than seats available.
- Graduates of LCC’s associate degree nursing program (AN-DTA/MRP) may be able to complete the RN to BSN program in as little as one year (3 quarters) of full-time enrollment (15 credits per quarter, 45 credits total).
- RNs with other types of associate degrees (non-AN-DTA/MRP graduates) are also eligible for admission. Refer to our Nursing Program Maps and Degree Requirements for details.
- The LCC RN to BSN is a hybrid program, with classes meeting in person four evenings per quarter.
- Both full- and part-time pathways are available.

Lower Columbia College (LCC) cannot currently enroll international students in the Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) program, because the BSN is not yet certified for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). We are pursuing certification with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to issue and maintain the Form I-20 for this program. Our Approval
The RN to BSN degree program at Lower Columbia College is initially approved to accept
students by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Lower Columbia College is under
review for initial accreditation by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Our initial site visit took place in March, and a final decision regarding initial
accreditation is expected by October. Please note that accreditation, if awarded, will be retroactive to the first day of
our site visit: March 10, 2025.
