Commencement FAQs:

Friday, June 17th at 6pm
Lower Columbia College Rose Center for the Arts. See campus map.

The event will take place live and in person on the LCC campus. Graduates will participate from designated classrooms on campus in the Main, Rose Center for the Arts (RCA), and Health & Science (HSB) Buildings. A faculty or staff marshal will escort graduates to the RCA Wollenberg Auditorium where their name will be announced as they cross the stage to receive their diploma cover from the President.

The ceremony will include opening remarks from the College President, a student speaker, student acknowledgments, presentation of the Scholastic Achievement Award winners, and conferral of diplomas and certificates.

Graduates must complete the RSVP to reserve their spot and order their cap and gown.

By completing the RSVP, graduates can order their cap and gown.

Caps and gowns are paid for through student fees collected by ASLCC. There is no charge when you pick up your cap and gown. If you are eligible for honors cords, you will receive them at pick up.

Pick up will be Monday, June 13th - Thursday, June 16th from 9am-4pm in the LCC Student Center.
Due to limited capacity, graduates may invite up to four guests to accompany them as you participate in the commencement ceremony.
LCC’s commencement will be live-streamed from the Commencement webpage.

Check in begins at 4:00pm. Graduates and their guests must arrive no later than 5:30pm.

Graduates will receive a notification prior to the event informing them which building to check in.

Yes, LCC will host two rehearsals via Zoom: Monday, June 13 at 12:00pm or Thursday, June 16 at 11:00am. Graduates only need to attend one rehearsal.

Yes, Grad Images will be there capturing moments from your special day!

Graduates can purchase photos after the event.

Graduates should arrive wearing their cap and gown. Do not bring large bags or purses. Graduates should consider leaving personal belongings with their guest(s).

All campus lots except Gym lot J and lot G between the Main building and the Rose Center will be open for parking (see Campus Map). Mark Morris and the Gallery of Diamonds have also graciously offered their lots for additional parking.
