Background clearance includes the State of Washington and all other states and counties which the student has lived in for the past seven years.
In addition to the DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions, clinical agencies have set the following immediate disqualifiers, which will prevent a student from being allowed to attend clinical. Upon admission to the program, students will receive additional information about processing the criminal background check.
The cost of obtaining this information is the student's responsibility.
For complete details see Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. (Click on the last item: Secretary'ss List of Crimes and Negative Actions for all other programs).
