Our mission, vision and values define our reason for being, and provide the framework for planning and improvement efforts at LCC.
The mission of Lower Columbia College is to ensure each learner's personal and professional success, and influence lives in ways that are local, global, traditional, and innovative.
Our vision is to be a powerful force for improving the quality of life in our community.
Our campus community expects an environment of integrity, respect, collaboration, cooperation, inclusion, and innovation that fosters personal growth, academic excellence, and accountability.
LCC has four Core Themes that represent the different mission areas of the College:
We measure progress in each of our Core Themes through our Key Performance Indicators, which are presented annually to the Board of Trustees through a series of Monitoring Reports.
Every year we publish a list of Annual Priorities for the coming year, which is based on review and assessment of progress on the Key Performance Indicators.
Strategic Initiatives make up an important part of our Strategic Plan.
Strategic Initiatives work in conjunction with our other planning and assessment processes to support continuous improvement.
Each Strategic Initiative is intentionally aligned with our Core Themes, Objectives and Indicators as well our Annual Priorities. See Initiatives, Indicators & Priorities for more information.
