Prepare for a Career in Teaching

Paraeducators fill a number of vital roles in the educational setting: classroom assistants, a variety of special education classrooms, one-on-one student support, bilingual student support, Library, recess, and many other positions.

Overview

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Education degree is designed for the working adult. It prepares students to support instruction in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms, while integrating hands-on field experiences throughout program.

This two-year program is a pathway to LCC's Bachelor of Applied Science in Teacher Education (BAS-TE) degree. EDUC& 101 meets the state's required 28-hour Fundamental Course of Study.
