In carrying out this function, the coordinator works with the College division promulgating the rule for final adoption. In addition, the officer maintains the College rule-making docket; plans and facilitates public hearings; produces the required legal notices for the press; and publishes the WAC chapters on this web page.
This web page provides information about current rule-making activity and recently proposed changes by Lower Columbia College. If you have questions regarding the rule-making process, you may email the Rules Coordinator at email@example.com or call (360) 442-2100.
Lower Columbia College filed a pre-proposal statement of inquiry to repeal WAC 132M-113 Access to Student Records and WAC 132M-160 Admission, Registration, Graduation and replace with College policy and procedures as they are duplicative of college policies, State Board for Community and Technical College rules, and Federal Laws.
WAC 132M-104-010 Rule on Regular Meeting for Board of Trustees is duplicative and in part inconsistent with the Open Public Meetings Act (RCW 42.30.075).
WAC 132M-108-020 Brief Adjudicative Procedure needs minor grammatical and formatting corrections, along with clarification that this WAC applies to appeals pursuant to any other formal rule adopted by the college which specifically provides for a brief adjudicative procedure.
