LCC's Food for Thought food pantry works to reduce hunger within our campus community and to reduce the effects of food insecurity on student success.

Food for Thought provides students, as well as faculty and staff, with non-perishable food, daily grab-and-go snacks, and personal care supplies. Read the news story LCC food pantry eases students' hunger, The Daily News, February 9, 2018.


Food for Thought

  Student Center, Room 213 A   Monday - Thursday, 10 am - 2 pm (Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer Qtrs)

Hours subject to change.

Items Offered:

  • Grocery: non-perishable food items distributed based on family size.
  • Grab-and-go snacks: one sandwich or snack available daily.
  • Personal Care: toiletries and self-care items as needed.

How to Sign Up

Bring your LCC Student ID card, or government issued ID with a copy of your current class schedule to Student Center, Room 213, during open hours.

How to Donate

Donations are appreciated! Drop your donation off at Food for Thought during open hours. Alternatively, call (360) 442-2352 to arrange a pick up. Donations bins are also located in the following locations on campus:

  • Admissions Building (in front of the Testing Center)
  • Library (front entrance)
  • Fitness Center
  • Student Center (one on each floor)

  • Grains (rice, oatmeal, pasta)
  • Canned proteins (chicken, tuna)

  • Soap
  • Shampoo
