ParaPro Assessment
Beginning Spring 2023, Lower Columbia College will no longer offer the ParaPro assessment. To schedule the ParaPro exam beyond Spring 2023 please visit https://www.ets.org/parapro/register.

Hours and availability may change. Please note the following information:


General Information:

  • Scheduling for Math Placement testing is no longer required. Placement testing is available:
  • In Person: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 am – 5 pm, Wednesday’s 8 am – 8 pm in Main 128. Walk-ins are welcome.
  • Remote via Zoom: Monday – Thursday 9am – 4pm and Friday 10am - 2pm. Join our Testing Zoom anytime to test.
  • If you prefer to schedule ahead of time you can do so at: https://www.registerblast.com/lowercolumbia
  • Scheduling is still required for all other non-placement testing.
  • Masks are now optional.

The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing and math possessed by prospective and practicing paraprofessionals.

It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. It was designed to satisfy the requirements of the federally legislated No Child Left Behind Act.

How to Schedule your Test

ParaPro Assessment available on a scheduled basis Monday - Thursday, from 10 am to 5 pm.
Schedule online through our online scheduling system. Online scheduling provided by RegisterBlast.


Costs and Fees

ParaPro Assessment: $85.
This covers two fees:

  • Fee to purchase an individual ParaPro exam: $55
  • Test proctoring fee: $30.

Length of Exam

Test takers have 2-1/2 hours to complete 90 multiple-choice questions in reading, writing and math..
