Regional and national peer analysis is now required by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The NWCCU requires institutions to identify their peer comparators by name for benchmarking purposes. In addition to the data that appears here, LCC also uses benchmarking in its institutional monitoring reports including extensive comparisons to Washington CTC system averages and multiple national surveys.

Peer Institutions

National and regional peers were identified using data available through the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) to find other colleges of similar size, location, program mix, admissions policies, and other characteristics. For more detailed information on LCC's peer comparator selection methodology, read the Institutional Research Report.

IPEDS Data Comparisons

The following graduation, transfer-out and combined rates are for full-time, first-time degree seeking students completing within "150%" of normal time. Note: retention data is not available through IPEDS because LCC now offers multiple baccalaureate degrees. LCC does not have "first-time, full-time" bachelor's degree students because associate degree status is required for admission.
