Established in 1934, Lower Columbia College was founded during the Great Depression by community leaders seeking a better future for high school graduates. Today, LCC is a comprehensive community and technical college offering 70+ programs and serving over 4,000 students each year. Help LCC Students Cross the Finish Line

For some Lower Columbia College students, the final stretch of their education can bring one last financial hurdle.

They may have just 5, 10, or 15 credits remaining to complete their degree or program but have exhausted their financial aid and other available resources. For others, coursework may be complete, but the cost of a required licensing, certification, or workforce exam stands between them and beginning the career they have worked so hard to pursue.

The Finish Line Scholarship was created to help close that final financial gap and give LCC students the support they need to complete their education and move into the workforce.

Why Your Gift Matters

When a student has worked this hard and come this far, one final financial barrier shouldn't keep them from reaching their goal.

The Finish Line Scholarship can help cover remaining tuition and required professional credentials, licensing, certification, and testing expenses in areas such as nursing and healthcare, welding, AIR programs, education, and other workforce fields.

From the finish line to the future

Your gift can help a student take that final step:

$25–$100
Helps cover fees and certifications such as CNA or CPR.

$200–$250
Helps fund hands-on WABO welding tests or national nursing licensure exams such as the NCLEX-RN.

$500
Can help cover a student's final 5-credit course and bring them one step closer to graduation.

$1,200
Can help cover 10 credits for a student completing their final partial-quarter load.

$2,000
Can help cover a student's final 15-credit quarter and required licensing or certification fees, providing critical support all the way to the finish line.
