LCC Symphonic Band Performs at Mount St. Helens

In June 2016 members of LCC's Symphonic Band performed at the 'Music on the Mountain' concert at Johnston Ridge Observatory under the majestic backdrop of Mount St. Helens.

Band members performed a musical line-up of western theme show tunes and other favorites including The Cowboys, Scenes From Billy the Kid, Silverado and The Magnificent Seven by composers Aaron Copeland and John Williams

LCC's Symphonic Band is composed of LCC students and local musicians with a wealth of professional experience and artistic achievement.

Located in the heart of the blast zone, 52 miles east of Castle Rock, Washington, the observatory hosts interpretive displays that tell the biological, geological, and human story of Mount St. Helens. Visitors can enjoy award-winning films, listen to ranger talks, observe the landscape, and more.
