William Vest Memorial Lectures are held annually during Spring Quarter in honor of former LCC instructor William Vest.

William Vest taught Western Civilization and Political Science classes at Lower Columbia College from 1969 to 1984. He was widely respected as a master of his subject and mentor to his colleages. He was considered a leader in the classroom, on campus, and in the community. After his death in 1984 the Social Science Department instituted a lecture series in his memory.
