About the Health & Science Programs Fund
LCC's new Health & Science building was built to prepare students for jobs in the science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields, as well as in-demand healthcare fields. The building was completed in 2014 and houses all LCC healthcare and science programs under a single roof for the first time in the college's 80-year history. Learn more about the Health & Science building.
In order to train students for these fields, modern classrooms, labs, and training equipment are needed, including:
- Nursing labs, including patient simulators
- Medical Assisting training facilities
- Biology, Chemistry, and Physics labs
- Engineering and Environmental Studies facilities
Training Tomorrow's Workforce
The Health & Science Building fuels job retention and growth by training students for employment in in-demand fields. In addition, the facility supports bachelor's degree programs available through the Lower Columbia Regional University Center located on the LCC campus. Bachelor's and master's degree programs are available from several university partners. Learn more about University Center.
