2023 Foundation Support to the College: 59% Program support, 41% direct student support

In 2022-23, the Foundation provided $1.36 million in support to the college. Nearly 59% was program support and 41% was direct student support. Students are awarded more than $566,291 each year through the LCC Foundation.

One student shares,

"After graduating college at 18, I returned nearly 20 years later to pursue a Nursing degree. This decision was inspired by the compassion and dedication of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic and the ongoing need in my community. I am deeply grateful to the people at LCC who supported me through this journey. Their encouragement, guidance, and unwavering belief in me have been crucial. Thank you for helping me realize my potential and for being a source of strength and inspiration.”

How Giving Helps Students

Student using stethescope on a manikin

Petters- Simulator Grant $10,000.00 to replace broken/damaged low-fidelity manikins in the skills lab which are used by students to practice various nursing skills in preparation for providing patient care in the clinical setting

Jazz band performance

The first-ever Lower Columbia College Jazz Festival Grant- $5,000. The Jazz Festival was a two-day on-campus event. This festival introduced a new community to LCC, featuring twelve regional band programs from middle schools, high schools, and colleges. It also attracted professional artists from the region and beyond, as well as members of the general public who attended the performances and clinics. The LCC Jazz Festival directly supported LCC's mission by inspiring local students to achieve success in creative endeavors and fostering personal development within a communal context.
