Make a Difference ~ Share Your America!
If you have a spare room and an open heart, you can provide a home away from home for an international student in our community.
The host family experience is an important part of the student’s U.S. experience. It is an equally rewarding experience for the host family.
“As someone who has been a host family and an international student, I can attest that it can be an equally rewarding, and at times life-changing, experience for the student and the family.”
-Andie Ingram, LCC Director of International Programs
LCC welcomes international students from around the world to participate in our various programs. We offer a number of different programs from short-term programs of two-three weeks, exchange programs of ten-months, and degree programs of two years.
LCC has hosting opportunities throughout the year for various durations of time. Please visit the Prospective Host Family webpage for the hosting opportunities. Contact us at international@lowercolumbia.edu if you are interested in being a host family, for any duration of time.
The LCC host family program is prioritized for students in short-term and exchange programs. The LCC host family program is currently unavailable for degree program students.
